We were pleased to support Cadent on a recent emergency job in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.
At short notice we supplied 5” x 125mm PECAT adaptors to support the urgent replacement of a fractured cast iron pipe. The unusual pipe size was replaced with 125mm PE and successfully connected using our transition fittings.
This size forms part of an extension to our established range, now offering solutions suitable for both live and dead insertion techniques.
As part of a recent project to decommission a transmission reduction station at Bellshill, a new medium-pressure gas main was constructed and commissioned between SGN’s medium-pressure network and the station outlet.
A bespoke WASK 180mm SDR17 × 10″ 150 PECAT flange adaptor was installed to form the tie-in connection to the station outlet. The commissioning of the new main enabled the transmission reduction station to be physically disconnected from the network, allowing the asset to be fully decommissioned.
Sarco and the WASK Aquastop delivered festive success by stopping water leakage in Edinburgh, a UNESCO World Heritage city decorated for Christmas. The WASK Aquastop bagging deployment equipment was installed on a 9” water main at a location close to the historic Edinburgh castle in November 2025.
Following a burst on the city-centre water main, a rapid overnight response by Jardine Utilities and Sarco, working for Scottish Water, successfully re-established supply and avoided disruption to iconic locations including Princes Street and the Royal Mile.

The WASK team took part in the Wolseley Group roadshow at their H29 fulfilment centre near Chesterfield last week.
The event provided a great platform to connect with Wolseley and industry partners, showcasing the full WASK and Sperryn product range. Featured innovations included the Garden Entry Tee, Split Flange Below Ground Entry, and the expanded PECAT adaptor range.
Our live equipment demonstrations gave attendees the chance to see our flow stopping technology in action, reinforcing WASK’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation across the gas industry.

WASK is proud to be part of ongoing 7 Bar Reinforcement Projects. To help meet the current and future needs of Phoenix Energy customers, this vital infrastructure project is increasing capacity and infrastructure resilience on their network in Belfast and surrounding areas.
Kier is the lead contractor for the 7 Bar Reinforcements Projects. Via Fusion Utilities, WASK supplied essential 400/450mm PECAT fittings to ensure secure, high-performance connections for the Shore Road project.
